The Advanced Disaster (Meteorological and Tsunami) Monitoring and Response Satellite System for the Asia-Pacific Region will provide accurate and timely weather forecasts, a tsunami detection and warning synthetic aperture radar system, and a resilient communication system for first responders and subsequent reconstruction efforts.
